marine ecology talks

Discussing this years theme- Ecology and the Economy. 

We have invited two very experienced people to discuss this years theme, and we cannot wait to hear them speak. 

Chris Farrell has a passion for nature for over 5 decades. He started wildlife photography at 18, and in 2013 Chris started using his skills to help with photographic identification of the endangered Southern Right Whale as a citizen scientist donating images to SEA SRW pic catalog. 

Garry Kerr is a documentary maker and professional fisherman, starting his fishing career at 16yo. He has seen many changes in the fishing industry in that time, from over fishing to more tightly regulated, sustainable system. 

Students from Portland Primary School will also deliver an address, relating to their marine studies.
